Flash thread
« on: 2016-06-13 18:17:15 »
You see, kids, back before YouTube was a thing, people made silly Flash animations (and games).

So let's post the good stuff.

The first one I'll post is an animation about some badgers, a mushroom, and a snake.  Make sure to watch it all the way to the end.
MAGFest, possibly still at the Gaylord in National Harbor, MD! Attendance was capped, so maybe it's moving? i dunno lol

Go play Pico's School if you haven't once in your life. This was a big deal back in 2006.

Johnny Rocketfingers was a set of 2 flash games from the early 00s. They had a unique "point and click" mechanic that called on the player to MacGyver their way out of trouble. Really fun to "solve" and watch the ensuing cutscene.

Interactive Buddy, anyone?

And that EZPZ (virtual) money trick where after you get the fire hose, spray the buddy into either right corner (upper was better, I think), right click, then move the mouse over the context menu and out of the Interactive Buddy area*, then left click and it'd still think that you're spraying the buddy into the corner? Could rack up so much money with no effort that way by just letting it run in the background lolol

* Wasn't there some sort of cursor-based/mouse-based challenge where this trick was the primary way to pass a level? Other levels were CHARGE YOUR LASER (spam click as fast as you can) and "Elephant are afraid of mice" (move cursor out of the Flash area). I don't remember the rest right now.

The Decline of Video Gaming is interesting to watch, even now, given how the gaming landscape has changed in nearly 13 years.

Windows RG is perhaps the quintessential Windows parody from back in the day.
